Job Description Job Description Job description Caruso Construction is seeking an experienced Millwork Carpenter. The Construction Millwork Carpenter will build, erect, install, and repair forms, structures, and other fixtures made from wood and other materials as needed to assist with various types of construction projects. Shop Millwork Carpenter/Woodworker (Full time averaging 40-55 hours per week) Fulltime Carpenter and woodworker needed for manufacturing custom millwork in shop and jobsite installation as well as finishing woodwork in shop and or on jobsite. Typical work includes custom bar tops, doors, cabinets, trim, decorative wall panels and ceilings in High-end Restaurants, Hotels and Commercial settings. The ideal candidate should be well versed in: * Shop cutting, milling, routing, and sanding procedures * Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required. * Light knowledge in various staining and oiling on custom woodwork * Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. * Working knowledge of on-site finishing procedures and field installation * Working with standard woodworking tools in a small shop environment * Have field installation tools and vehicle * Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. * Cleans up worksite debris. Carpenter Qualifications / Skills: * Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers * Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines * Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: * High school diploma is an asset * 4 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry * Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications * Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation Job Type: Full-time Salary: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Carpenters: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: * Driver's License
