    $75,000 to $95,000 per year

The Construction Safety Manager will have the role of ensuring both the workers and workplace are safe, and ensure the organization is compliant with federal, state, and local safety environmental requirements.

  • Develop, implement and Monitor the Health and Safety programs
  • Maintain Safety communication board and postings
  • Conduct training with all employees on health and safety programs
  • Leads managers and safety team members in the development, implementation, monitoring and revisions to company Safety programs, procedures, and manuals
  • Ensures that all Federal, State and local regulatory requirements are being met
  • Monitors personal protective equipment compliance program
  • Complete OSHA trainings as required by OSHA
  • Develop procedures and facilitate emergency response/medical care for injured employees
  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis of accidents and unsafe working conditions: recommend remedial action
  • Schedule, present and monitor safety training program while managing training database and training reports
  • Completes and keeps records of OSHA recordings and Industrial Commission Reporting
  • Aids supervisors in accident investigation and completing all required forms
  • Manages the location safety committee and all of their activities
  • Assist each department in maintaining the MSDA and Chemical list
  • Maintains safety training documentation including safety training, monthly safety meetings, monthly safety committee minutes
  • Support overall departmental goals and objectives and applies them to individual work performance
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

Additional Responsibilities

Ensures job safety orientation is conducted for every new employee.

Reviews job hazard analysis and pre-task planning documents for scopes of work performed on project(s).

Assists in any safety or risk issues identified as project progresses.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree preferred and/or at least 3-5 years of construction safety experience.
  • Successful OSHA ratings, loss-work records, EMR trainings, etc.

 

Certification/License Requirements
OSHA 500 minimum or OSHA 510 w/ STSC certification required

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associated Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or other safety certifications are desirable.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
